MLS Data access with a parked license

Overview

MLS® data access requires an active license status. A parked license is not actively valid, which means MLS® membership is on hold during this time.

Understanding Parked Licenses and MLS® Access

A parked license means your real estate license is held with a broker but is in an inactive status. MLS® access is reserved for professionals with active, valid real estate licenses who are currently authorized to practice.

Why MLS® Access Requires an Active License

MLS®s provide data access to professionals who hold active real estate licenses because:

  • MLS® membership requirements - Most MLS®s require an active real estate license as a condition of membership. Membership becomes available once your license returns to active status.
  • Professional standing - MLS® data is intended for use by actively practicing real estate professionals who are bound by professional standards and regulations.
  • Legal authorization - Access to MLS® data is tied to your legal authorization to practice real estate, which becomes available when your license is activated.

Regaining MLS® Access

To regain access to MLS® data, you'll need to:

  1. Activate your license - Transfer your license from parked status to active status with a participating broker.
  2. Establish MLS® membership - Once your license is active, apply for or reinstate your MLS® membership according to your local MLS® procedures.
  3. Complete membership requirements - MLS® membership typically requires membership dues and other fees.

Impact on API Access

If you're using Repliers' API services, valid MLS® credentials and an active membership are required to authorize data feeds. Once your license is activated and your MLS® membership is established, you'll be able to access MLS® data through our platform.
