How to Initiate and Complete the TRREB/PropTx Data Agreement

To access Toronto Regional Real Estate Board's (TRREB) listing data via Repliers, you'll need to submit three agreement types: DLA, IDX, and VOW through the PropTx platform. Here's what to prepare and how to complete the process.

What you'll need before starting

  1. TRREB Member Credentials
  • Membership #
  • PIN
  • Authenticator token

  1. Your Website URLs

TRREB requires the URLs where data will be published (1 to 3 per agreement). These can be updated later. Keep the following in mind when specifying your URLs — these are common points of failure that can delay or result in a declined agreement:

⚠️ Common mistakes to avoid:

  • No duplicate URLs across agreements. A URL cannot be active in more than one agreement at a time, even with different vendors. If a URL is already listed in another active agreement, PropTx will not permit it to be reused. Before submitting, review any existing active agreements to confirm that none of the URLs you plan to include are already in use.

  • Your website must be live and properly identified. PropTx will decline agreements containing URLs that are unreachable, show a generic "coming soon" page, or display a parked domain page. If your site is under construction, the page must clearly disclose your brokerage name and address, and your agent name (if applicable).

  • If specifying multiple URLs, each one must satisfy all of the above. Every URL in the agreement is subject to the same requirements.

  1. Broker of Record Approval
  • All agreements must be signed off by your Broker of Record before TRREB will process them.
  • Giving them a heads-up can significantly speed up approval (as fast as 24 hours in some cases).

Understanding the Three Agreement Types

When applying for TRREB data access, you can choose to apply for one, two, or all three agreement types depending on your website's needs and your target audience:

IDX (Internet Data Exchange)

Display all active MLS® listings publicly on your website without requiring visitor registration.

VOW (Virtual Office Website)

Access enhanced listing data including historical information and additional details, available only to registered users on your website.

DLA (Data License Agreement)

Display only your own listings with full agent contact information — a limited option for agents who want to showcase just their personal portfolio, as well as being relevant alongside the IDX or VOW feeds per TRREB's Agent Information Access policy described here:

You're not limited to just one agreement type. Many agents apply for all three agreements to maximize their data access and website capabilities.

Does TRREB charge any fees for data access?

No. TRREB does not charge any fees for data access to its members. As such, these agreements will not incur an additional fee on top of the Repliers subscription.
